Certified Management Accountant (CMA) awarded by the Institute of Cost Management Accountants of India which is a global professional qualification. - CMA is Short Course duration and can be completed within 6 to 8 months
- The CMA course allowing you to earn your CMA in 12 months or over the course of three years.

Levels of CMA Course
There are 3 stages in CMA course.
- CMA Foundation
- CMA Intermediate and
- CMA Final
You should complete the three levels of CMA course if you want to become Cost management accountant. The CMA Foundation exam conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India two times in a year in the months of June and December.
You are eligible for CMA Inter if you have passed CMA Foundation exam. If you have any graduate degree, you are exempted from ICMAI Foundation exams. You can directly enter into CMA Inter.
CMA Course Eligibility
Eligibility criteria for CMA Foundation:
- One should have passed Class 10 or equivalent from a recognized Board.
- Passed Senior Secondary Examination under 10+2 scheme of a recognized Board or an Examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto
- The Diploma in Rural Service Examination conducted by the National Council of Higher Education or has passed National Diploma in Commerce Examination which is conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education or any State Board of Technical Education under the authority of the All India Council.
Eligibility criteria for CMA Executive:
- One should have passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) and Foundation Course of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
- Foundation Part I Examination and Competency Level Part II Examination of CAT of the Institute.
- Graduation in any discipline other than Fine Arts.
- Passed Foundation of ICSI/Intermediate of ICAI along with 10+2.
Eligibility criteria for CMA Professional:
- Passed Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2) and Foundation Course of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
- Graduation in any discipline other than Fine Arts.
- Foundation (Entry Level) Part I Examination and Competency Level Part II Examination of CAT of the Institute.
- Passed Foundation of ICSI/Intermediate of ICAI along with 10+2.
