About IELTS Reading Test: The authentic IELTS Reading Tests are published by the IELTS, British Council. You will be asked to read three different passages and respond to related questions in your IELTS Reading test.The IELTS Reading Test includes two versions both IELTS Academic and IELTS General Reading. But the content of the Reading test is different for IELTS General Training and IELTS Academic Reading Test Papers.

About IELTS Academic Reading Test
The IELTS Academic Reading Test consists of three sections and 60 minutes long. The total text length is 2,150 words to 2,750 words.
- Academic Reading Test each section will contain one long text.
- Texts are authentic and taken from books, journals, magazines and newspapers.
- The Texts are accessible to test-takers entering undergraduate or postgraduate courses, seeking professional registration.
- And texts may contain non-verbal materials such as diagrams or graphs/tables.
Question Types: A number of variety questions are given, you have to choose from the given types like multiple choice, identifying information, matching information, note completion, flow-chart completion, identifying writer’s views, table completion, diagram label completion, summary completion, short- answer questions.
Marking:Â Each correct answer receives one mark. 40 marks out of scores are converted to the IELTS 9-band scale.
IELTS General Training Reading Practice Test
There are three sections to the IELTS General Reading Test.Texts which are used in each section are taken from notices, advertisements, official documents, books, magazines, newspapers and company handbooks.
The section 1 will contain two or three short factual texts and 6-8 short texts will be related to hotel advertisements topic. The other topics are related to everyday life in an English speaking country. This section 2 will contain two short factual tests which are focusing on work related issues such as applying for jobs, company policies, pay and conditions. Sections 3 will contain one longer, more complex text on a topic of general interest

IELTS Academic Reading Test Papers with Answers
The IELTS Academic Reading Test is the second of the IELTS test. It is sixty minutes long test. Typically this reading test consists of three reading passages with increasing difficulty. The Academic Reading test is different and become tough comparing with General Training Reading test. Candidates will have to answer the 40 questions in total.
The questions in this version vary from multiple choice questions to identify the author’s point of view on a certain idea which is given in the passage. In this questions also include matching ideas, matching the headlines, completing flowcharts and sentences.
The main aim of the IELTS Academic reading test is to examine the ability of the candidate in understanding the inferences, reading the main pints of the passage and answer the questions effectively etc.
